Turning Frustration Into Trust – A Heat Pump Upgrade on Bainbridge Island

We had a great opportunity this past weekend to update a heat pump system for a homeowner on Bainbridge Island — and the story behind it is one worth sharing.
Back in November, we received a call from a homeowner in a panic. She’d already had two visits from another company, only to be told that the wrong part had been ordered the first time, then that the system wasn’t repairable at all. Understandably frustrated, she reached out to us for a replacement bid doing her due diligence of obtaining three bids for replacement.
When our owner arrived, he didn’t just take measurements and give a quote. He listened, asked questions, and requested permission to run our own diagnostic. What we found was surprising — and honestly disappointing from a standpoint of honesty: the system wasn’t broken. It was just missing a fuse that had been removed and not replaced.
We advised the homeowner of our findings, helped her locate the needed part, and got her system back up and running — just in time for the holidays.
We finished our material list for the original equipment upgrade and went on our way.
Fast forward to April, she reached back out for a full replacement bid. Even though her system was still working, she wanted to be proactive. We were honored that she trusted us with her investment and scheduled the project right away.
This job was more than just a system upgrade.
